I was looking for a wreath from Hallmark, and came across a recipe for these cookies. Umm, yeah, I need these. Badly. Right now.

Coffee Bean Cookies
prep: 25 minutes
cook: 11 minutes per batch
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup chopped almonds, toasted
3 (2-ounce) packages chocolate-covered coffee beans (1 cup)
4 (1.4 ounce) English toffee candy bars, chopped (about 1 cup)


step1
Beat butter and shortening at medium speed with an electric
mixer until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating well. Add
eggs and vanilla; beat well.

step2
Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; add to butter mixture,
beating well.

step3
Stir in chopped almonds, chocolate-covered coffee beans, and
chopped English toffee bars. Cover and chill dough, if desired.

step4
Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking
sheets.


step5
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 11 minutes or until golden.
Cool 1 minute on baking sheets; remove to wire racks to cool
completely.
Yield: 4 dozen.

I had a recipe for Coffee Bean cookies I wanted to make last year and didn't get to them. Where did you spot these? The look similar, but I can't remember if the other ones had the toffee.

Hallmark has a Christmas cookie cookbook - this is from them. :)

I missed one? I finally found my missing cookie books and see what I do? ;) :D

Thanks for posting this one. I need to get baking -- but I'm painting stage sets tomorrow (and mailing a swap package :) ).

Most coffee shops around here sell them in little baggies.

Those look awesome Bethany.
I have really scaled back my Xmas baking but those just might make it on to the must make list.
I hope I can find those coffee beans. :o
