I made Moomie's buns for the first time this weekend, and they were easy and tasty, as everyone has said. However, when I took my dough out of the bread machine, it was pretty wet. When I shaped it into rolls, they came out kind of flat, and didn't rise as much as I thought they would. Still good, though. We actually ate most of them already  . But I want to make them as dinner rolls for Thanksgiving, so I want to perfect this a little more. Is the answer more flour, or less water at the start? Or are they supposed to be like this? I am used to bread dough being a little drier, so I am assuming there was something wrong.

Thanks,
Megan

You might want to add a little more flour/less water to make the dough a little firmer. I've also found that rolls flatten out more if they rise in a warm place. So now, I let them rise at room temperature (I usually put them in an unused oven or microwave to reduce the drafts).

Definitely more flour, and be mindful of the humidity of the day. You might have to add even a bit more. If mine still comes out sticky, I knead some in when I take it out of the machine. As a side note, sometime you might want to add a teaspoon of onion powder to the bread machine...adds a great touch!
