I am wondering if anyone knows how much apple sauce to substitute for the oil in a recipe! What's the ratio??? Thanks for any input!!

I just read this somewhere (but can't remember where) and I think it said you can substitute up to 1/3 c. applesauce for the oil in any recipe.

I use a ratio of 1:1. Here is another thread where someone else asked the same question.

I also use 1 for 1. Works fine for me!

I use 1:1 substitution with apple butter. Your applesauce may need to be drained first for some recipies or else reduce other liquids accordingly. good luck
