I got mine last week when I checked the mail during lunch. It was all that I could do to go back to work with it sitting there. I haven't tried any recipes yet, but have started my shopping list for this week.
i got mine yesterday... for april and may, CL really made me wait! it's about time i got an issue 'early'!!! but i don't know how much time i'll have to make anything from this issue (which looks great!) - i'm having the baby next week! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif oh well, i guess CL can wait for me this time!

Hee Hee! Thanks for noticing http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Received mine yesterday in Ellensburg, WA. Unfortunately, I'm leaving town today for 10 days, so I won't get to play for awhile. I'm looking forward to the reviews!
Lots of Meatless Main Dishes that I am very excited to try, the Thai Cooking Class looks excellent and the Pork recipes have my mouth a-watering, as do the Sauces and those many lovely Salads!
I am not a fan of creamy, pudding-y desserts- certainly not when the weather is hot, so the Blancmange, Profiterole, Pot de Creme etc.. bit is not appealing, but I might have to spring the Green Tomato-and-Raspberry Cobbleron DH!
Bon Appetit et Bon Juin, mes chers amis!

Got mine on Monday! From the almost never meat-eater, I have to say the recipe that got my mouth watering the most was the Curry- and Ginger-rubbed Lamb Chops With Apricot-Lime Sauce. I love lamb, ginger, apricot, lime, and most fruit and meat combinations. I am going to have to make this--although, I think I'll be the only one eating it since my husband did not seem very excited when I showed him.

Valchemist, I see you haven't received your June issue either. Seems late this month or is it my imagination? Another Connecticut

Reporting from Southeast Michigan here - but, sadly enough, no Penzeys catalog - usually the 2 come hand in hand!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

jazzcat, It is actually my fault I didn't get it. I got the two free CL issues from the website without ever subscribing. But meanwhile, about three months ago I go MasterCook and sent in the proof of purchase to get a free CL subscription. I am so mad that hasn't kicked in yet! Three months should be enough time for them to get their act together. -val

haven't received it in New Jersey, either. last month I got it the 18th.
val, i have noticed that CL can be very slow when it comes to renewals & new subscriptions... you really have to do it way in advance! has anyone else noticed this?

I just checked "my status" because my subscription was to run out July '01. I renewed and status says subscription good till July '02. I too, got the Mastercook special but have waited till my new subs takes effect.

smart, jazzcat. at least you won't miss an issue. my mom (maizeyoats) got her issue up in Massachusetts, so I can borrow it from her.
mb, if I had known they were so slow, I would have just paid for the subscription and then got my free year at some point down the road. oh well. next time I'll kow better.

Got mine today in the Lancaster, PA area. I already made the Dijon-Lemon Vinaigrette (pg 178) to have on my salad tonight. Best part is that it keeps for 1 week - if it makes it that long.

I got mine last Monday. I'm usually way behind everyone else, so I think I'm due. However, not much in there appeals to me. Maybe it's just the end-of-school blahs and things will look better if I try again in a week or so.

Good one, Tiger. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif P.S. - Have you ever eaten at The Joseph Ambler Inn in North Wales? We just ate there tonight and it was "to die for". The best French onion soup I've ever had, incredible lobster with a plum/ginger sauce, crab & shrimp cakes (no filler), great bread and wine. YUM! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif
