Well it won't be long...the days are counting down when 32 or so of our family members will be venturing to Birmingham. I wish I could have been the 33rd. Wishing you all a great time of food, fun and bonding. Someone have a Sex on the Beach for me and sing a few tunes of Mr. Ed when you meet at the lounge. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Don't forget to come back with plenty to talk about and in detail everything that you experienced. Maybe someone can take some pictures and somehow post them.

Have a great time everyone!!! You will be in our thoughts each day. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

P.S. Please bring an idea there for me......I think it would be a great idea if someone from the test kitchens could check in every now and then...maybe to answer technique questions on recipes from magazine, etc. Please pass this on for me. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I'm bummed I won't be there either, but I echo Sue's sentiments. I've never had Sex on the Beach (I know, sounds like a personal problem), but if someone would toss back a cocktail of any type on my behalf, I would be grateful. I will be there in spirit - and I would love to see pictures!!!

As someone who really wanted to go but can't, I thoroughly agree with Mamasue and SandyM, I will be there in spirit and want to hear lots of details and see pics too!

Have fun!!!

Ditto for me as well, I can't wait to hear all the details of the weekend! Wish I was going to be there, but alas my daughter has her dance recital all week long.

So everyone going, enjoy and have a glass of wine (or other adult beverage) for me!

Ironically, I couldn't go b/c of a wedding. It turns out that the wedding is in Birmingham! I still can't make it to any of the festivities - but I'll be so close - it will kill me!

Add me to the list of wannabees', I really wannabe there but previous plans. Perhaps on the other site Lindrusso set up, we could have a page just for postings of the trip? This might get more action going there.

When you all are standing at the helm of the CL test kitchen, please think of us!!

Another great graphic, Mamasue!!

I happily volunteer to have Sex on the Beach for all of you! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Oooh, that sounded bad, didn't it? Well, the Embassy Suites has happy hour every night so...should be pretty easy.

I am going to all of the events but yoga and will be happy to pass on any ideas, comments, questions, etc. Just email them to me and I'll print them out and bring them with me...
