I got: Blossoming Bon Vivant. I just learned what Panco is and 2 questions might be easier for those who live in the Bay Area. I am not that familiar with beef so I missed the New York Strip question.

Oooh I'm an expert foodie! Just missed one question. Although, a couple of the ones I answered correctly were guesses ... :D

That was fun. I just barely made
Expert Foodie (32 to 38 points)
The Expert Foodie makes culinary pursuits an important part of everyday life. You probably get all the major food magazines, plan your vacations around locations with great food, and are first of your friends to dine in the new hot restaurants. You are likely to have taken more than your fair share of cooking classes, consider Larousse Gastronomique a must-have, and it's more than likely that your job involves dining or wine. You aren't afraid to admit you spend more money on food than fashionistas do on the lastest designer trends and you know the experience is well worth the cost. The Expert Foodie is ever in search of new flavor and probably has a few scars-considered badges of honor-garnered in the kitchen.
I got two wrong and lost points because I seldom eat out

This sounds about right for me:
Occasional Omnivore
The Occasional Omnivore almost knows enough to be dangerous in the kitchen, but has a tendency to stick with tried-and-true favorites rather than go out on a dining limb. Simultaneously the Occasional Omnivore possesses enough of a culinary curiosity that a little nudge would easily cast them into culinary exploration. But even if you continue enjoying your classic favorites, there's no doubt that you love great food.

I got Expert Foodie at 37 points - lost one because I said I dine out 2-3 times a week. I eat out more than that, but I don't know about "dining" ;) .
Wouldn't have gotten the steak question had I not just read Jeffrey Steingarten's piece on steak last night, though!

32 points worth of expert foodie, but I did guess on several.

Hmmm, got the answers right but only scored 34 points...penalized for not dining out! Of course, I'm penalized in that area just by where I live! :p

Blossoming Bon Vivant (28 to 31 points)
The Blossoming Bon Vivant has an adventurous spirit and an insatiable hunger for all things gourmet. You are likely to try new and exotic things when you spot it on a menu and tend to be skilled in the kitchen. You're armed with enough knowledge to be a food snob, but are more likely to share their knowledge than flaunt it. Often dreaming of taking cooking classes abroad, you are well on your way to becoming an expert foodie, or perhaps even a chef.
(missed "Expert Foodie" by 2 points probably because I don't eat out much)

Expert Foodie here too. I know nothing about San Fran restaurants (er, what a surprise) and don't dine out enough. No problem with any of the food words -- but for true fairness, they should have asked whether I have ever tasted (or in some cases, even seen!) the foods in question!

"The Debonair Diner (21 to 27)
The debonair diner loves to eat and is too busy enjoying the fruits of chef's labors to be bogged down with every last kitchen detail. Still, Debonair Diners have more than enough knowledge to know and ask for what you like. If you spent a little more time in culinary academia, you could easily be a Blossoming Bon Vivant. But you are more likely to think there's no reason to bother with such a pursuit since the best culinary experiences are about sitting around a table enjoying great foods with equally special friends, which you do with frequency and fervor."
Sounds about right :) That was fun!

Expert Foodie...barely. I dine out 0-1 times per week so that hurt me.

Blossoming Bon Vivant here- was hurt by dining out 0-1x/week, and didn't know my SF restaurants or chocolate-producing countries!

Scored 33, which just barely puts me in the expert foodie category. I missed the steak question and the one about the stain remover.
