Lemon Cake

I need to take a dessert, to a Pot Luck. I was looking for a easy Lemon Cake.....of some kind. There had been a recent post for orange cake w/orange jell-o, cool whip.. Do you think you, could to the same thing with lemon cake mix, lemon jell-o? Would like to hear you thoughts!

I made the Sour Cream Lemon Pound Cake (April 2000) for my mother's birthday and it was great. "The best cake ever" according to my 10-year-old niece. I think that says a lot for a dessert without chocolate. It's perhaps not as easy as something that uses a mix, but it is easy and delicious. It's also easy to eat (we were at a beach picnic).

I don't have it on the computer, so it would be difficult to post the recipe. Hopefully you have the issue, the annual book (it's on the cover), it's on the website, or someone else could post it.

I don't have any good lemon cakes off the top of my head as I am at work. I just want to welcome another person from OC to the bb!

I have looked at the Lemon Pound cake recipe and it does look good. I would also like to recommend the lemon bars from 1999, they are wonderful!
