Hi All,
Cooking Light has ALWAYS been my favorite cooking magazine, but I still really miss receiving Eating Well regularly. I'm such a foodie, that just one healthy cooking magazine a month is not enough.

Anyway, I believe I own every issue of Eating Well. I am always searching for certain recipes, but can't remember what issue or even what year in which they appeared. Does anyone know if a comprehensive Index of Eating Well recipes exists anywhere? Did they make this available before they went under? Is it still available? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Renée

P.S.
Remember that great recipe for Chocolate pudding that used low-fat sweetened condensed milk, or Chinese noodle slaw, of low fat homemade mayo or....I find myself not making some of my old favorites because I don't have time to locate them. (Full time job and 2 small boys doesn't leave a lot of "free time" for thumbing through old issues.)
Thanks again,
R.

Hi. I also miss Eating Well. I used the indexes in the Dec issues (back of the issue) and photocopied them then put them in a binder. I still have to search by category and year but with a bit of patience I find the recipes. From what I recall they did not have indexes like CL or Gourmet etc.
You can still find some of their cookbooks at discount prices at some stores.

Thanks for the idea Vanessa! It's a great starting place and will help if I undertake cataloguing them myself

Renee, if you come across those chocolate pudding and chinese noodle slaw recipes in the process and wouldn't mind posting, I'd love to try them. I think I may have one year of Eating Well and a cookbook, but didn't find them there. I did find a number of things I haven't tried yet that I'd like to, so guess I have some work to do too.

Hi Beth,
Will do. I know where the Chinese slaw recipe is: July/August of 98, I believe. It was a recipe makeover. I'll try to post it this weekend. I don't have any idea about the pudding. It may take me a while to locate this one!
