This may take Mamasue or another expert, but if I want to post a photo or a graphic, does it have to be on a website link? I have lots of photos stored on my computer at home, most of them in the jpeg format. If I was to attach it to an email, I just hit 'attach', then find it, then click on it and it's attached to my email. However, I can't 'attach' here! I cheated and went into 'edit' mode on a few posts here with photos to see how it was listed. I see the IMG thing in brackets before and after, but it also looks like each one of those photos comes with a link like ww.website/photo.jpg or something. All of mine are just photo.jpg. Can I still post a photo? I don't have a personal website to provide a link to, and I have a few photos I would like to post! Help! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/eek.gif I'm computer challenged! Thanks!

Hi Jewel. I am no expert, but here's what you can do. If you go to www.yahoo.com (http://www.yahoo.com) and click on "geocities", you will come to a page that allows you to do different things such as building web pages. Over to the right, there is a thing in the Advanced Toolbox called "Upload/FTP".

This will allow you to upload pictures from your computer and store them online. Then, all you have to do is link to this graphic by typing in (I'm going to use the "wrong" brackets here so that it won't show the graphic, but the correct address) {img}http://www.geocities.com/youryahoousername/graphicname.html{/img}

Let me try to see if it works: http://www.geocities.com/lindrusso/bigsmileyrasp.html

So this graphic, for example is: {img}http://www.geocities.com/lindrusso/bigsmileyrasp.html{/img}

You will need to sign up for an account with Yahoo to use this service, but it's pretty easy to do once you get the hang of it.

Let me know if I can help!

Yeah! It's working. If you do decide to use Yahoo - just make sure you name your graphic with the ".html" code, not ".gif". This got mine working!

Jewel....Yes I do believe you have to link your photos through a website. www.homestead.com (http://www.homestead.com) is a free one that you could import your photos and then link them from there. I just recently opened one so that I can post graphics that need to be downloaded to your own drive and then linked from a website. (thanks to lindrusso for pointing this out).
