I have been seeing Trader Joe's mentioned a lot lately in cooking magazines as a source. I"ll check out their website...I assume they have regular stores too, but where?

The lime juice bars are great! We've been buying them for a few months now. They're initially tart and tangy but then a teeny bit of sweetness takes off the edge.

Thanks for the heads-up. It came just in time, I'm planning to go to Trader Joe's on Saturday. I can't wait to try the hummus.
I think my problem is more that I never bought anything there that I didn't like!

I've never tried any of the Trader Joe's guacamole...I'll have to get some.

This isn't a new product, but I tell you, my husband and I are ADDICTED to the peanut butter filled pretzels (w/ salt on the outside, the ones without aren't very good)! We can't run out of these!

The frozen Chicken Enchiladas (blue package) are also really good (spicy) for quick meals.

I also keep their bag of frozen stirfry veggies in the freezer for quick stirfries and fried rice.

Philamark They have one on Rte 202, Gateway Shopping Center in Wayne, PA - It is a small but very wonderful store!! I am in love with their eggplant and roasted red pepper spread. I bought 10 jars, as I use it as a salad dressing for my lunches. I am down to 4 jars, I will be able to drive 40 minutes this summer to restock my pantry with the sauce!! It is lowfat and low cal, better than the kind I used to make myself!!

Do they have the drunken cheese there??

I bought fire-roasted guacamole yesterday. It was very good.

My biggest find at TJ's: they have Chilean Sea-Bass on sale for $7.59/lb ( which is about half price of supermakerts).

All this talk of Trader Joe's got me so fired up that I hopped in the car today and drove(one hour each way) for my bi-monthly "stock up".
Love the Roasted Garlic Hummus
Pirates Booties are always a must
Cereal, cereal, cereal
God love the Chocolate Chip Meringues
Can't live without the Pound Plus Bittersweet Chocolate
Wish they sold wine in the MD stores
....and the Chilean Sea Bass is only 6.99 a pound at the TJ's where I shop.

The best part is that I can still shut my freezer!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I need your help! Convince me to try the Veggie Booty! My DH returned with Veggie Booty instead of my requested Pirate's Booty. I just haven't mustered up the courage to try it yet. I want aged cheddar, not spinach and kale.

I haven't tried the frozen lime bars, but I have the cherry and strawberry in the freezer. I love the strawberry ones, the cherry ones are okay.

KristaMB, I don't know if I can convince you or not but, as I've said before, I love Veggie Booty. Mind you there has been only one other person on this BB, that I know of, that said they liked VB too!! I bought Pirate's Booty exactly one time and even my son said he liked Veggie Booty better (say that 10 times fast http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif !) Someone else suggested mixing the two and eating it that way. For me, I'll stick to the Veggie Booty all by itself and I buy at least one sometimes two bags a week! One thing I know for sure, it won't hurt to try it!! Let us know what you think.

I don't know if it was me, SoCal, but I like Veggie Booty too!! What a nice way to get a few "greens" in during the day, or when you're on a road trip (when I typically eat the stuff). Count me in as a Veggie and Pirate's Booty fan!

Here's another vote for Veggie's Booty!

I also love Pirate's Booty, and can do without fruity booty (tastes like Fruity Coco Puffs, which I am not crazy about).

I have to admit my sickness to those of you who will understand. We moved to Houston 3 years ago from San Diego where TJ's was literally across the street from us (Carmel Mtn Ranch for you San Diegans). We get back home fairly frequently - sometimes more than once a month - and I always have a shopping list for non-perishables. But I really missed the dips, salsas, frozen stuff - so I have now invested in a collapsable cooler and blue ice!! Yes, I look rather silly trekking through the airports with my briefcase on one shoulder and my cooler over the other, but I am a happy girl!!

The Go-Lean cereal is really good. I'm not hungry for several hours after I've eaten a bowl of it. It tastes great, has lots of fiber, lots of crunchy and chewy, little salt, little sugar. The new Go-Lean Crunch is sweetened. I can eat it right out of the box for a snack it tastes like candy! Yum! TJ's has the best prices for cereal around here.
