Wooohooooo! Festivus for the restofus!

I moved heaven and earth the last two days so that I can pack the family up and scram for the cottage up north. 3 days of peace and quiet. Santa will have to visit us up there. My parents will be joining us for Christmas morning - who knows how much longer they will be with us.

My parents just discovered that we aren't having a tree this year. My mom is all paranoid that I've "turned" on the family traditions (see: War on Chistmas), but that isn't at all the case. She's especially sensitive to these things because, well, my wife follows pagan traditions. I had to ease her mind at length....we didn't have a tree this year because the boys are two, and I didn't want the stress of constantly herding them away from it.

I respect your intellect and your debating skills, even if I often disagree with you, but this is just plain bullying. I honestly would have thought you were above it.

Perhaps this is one of your "feats of strength" in celebration of Festivus. If so, I don't think the Festivus gods (or whoever) will be impressed.

By the way, Escher, I failed to mention it on the appropriate thread, but I spent a little bit of time reading through the Steve, don't eat it! archives and laughed harder than I've laughed in a long time. I mean belly laughs with tears. Thanks for that.
