White Chocolate Pots de Creme - very easy and it turned out well. The white chocolate flavor is not very strong, but it was delicious served warm with blue berries.
I did try and melt the white chocolate (chips) in the microwave without much success, so I used a double boiler.
Adobo Flank Steak w/summer Corn and Tomato Relish - terrific! Didn't have fresh thyme so I used dried for the steak. In the corn relish I used substituted tarragon.

I'll second your review for the Adobo Flank Steak! This may go without saying, but I'd recommend letting the steak rest for about 5-10 minutes before carving to let the juices settle.
Also, a very easy recipe to make.

I made the buttercrust corn pie with tomato salsa and it was delicious! I wasn't sure if it would be too bland but it turned out really well.
I haven't made anything, but nothing in the issue appeals to me. Of course there will naturally be issues we aren't as crazy about from time to time. I prefer simple main dishes with only one or two basic items. I'm not into vegetables, fruits, herbs, spices, sauces and mixtures for main dishes. I'm a very picky eater though, so I wouldn't want to influence anyone else against the issue.
My family and I eat a varied diet, with the emphasis on fruits and vegetables. But the June CL didn't psyche me, either. I'm checking the BB often for reviews, as I'm hopeful others comments will entice me.

Well, I have only tried one recipe from this issue. But if the first one I tried is any indication of what others might be like, Wahooo!!
I made the cover recipe and it was the first time I ever even considered giving a recipe a perfect 10!!!

Valchemist, thanks for the review on the chicken sandwich and the portobello substitute suggestion. Thanks to that and other positive reviews on Grilled Stuffed Portobellos, and Thai Grilled Chicken (all from June), my magazine is starting to look better already!

My daughter and I made stuffed portobello mushrooms, and they were delicious. My husband was out of town, so we were free to fix a "chick meal". No meat, just the mushrooms and corn on the cob, also on the grill.

Last night I made the Salad with Seared Tuna, Feta Quesadillas, and Lemon-Caper Viniagrette
It was pretty good. We liked the dressing. The recipe calls for 1/2 cup beans to cover 2 8" tortillas, well it didn't even cover one tortilla. I had to increase that and the Feta too. (Which of course added to the calories).
Also, I divided this into 3 servings instead of 4. I seriously doubt that this recipe would serve 4 people. (I have 2 teenage sons)
I personally dislike tuna and fresh tomatoes in one dish. My taste buds clash with that. SO, I would omit the tomatoes next time. I used AHI.
Overall, it was about a 6. I probably won't make this particular combo again.
I think the recipe for the Chicken and Rosemary Quesadilla salad with Goat Cheese looks like it would be better.
One very positive: We really did love the base viniagrette dressing as well as the modified caper-viniagrette for this salad. I will make these again and again!
