The man on page 123 of the latest issue [Archive]

Hi, I'm new here as a poster but have lurked in the recipe section for a long time. Ok, does the man pictured on page 123 of the latest issue not have the warmest face ever? I wanted to go to the dinner just so I could sit next to him! Plus, I'm sure the food is awesome. :-)

Too funny! I knew exactly what picture you were talking about! I noticed the guy the first time I flipped through the magazine. I guess because the picture seemed different to me. For some reason he and the picture (to me, anyway) don't look like the typical CL photos. He reminded me a bit of Jack Wagner, at a quick glance.

Ha! Paranoid me, read the thread and thought Pseudonym... 1st post... page 123... must be a hoax! (there were some recent Virus link scares by pseudo 1st posters...) Then I realized, there's no link, so where could the harm be, and went and dug up December's CL. Yeah, he's a hottie!

OMG this is too funny. When I read this post I totally knew which photo you were referring to as well, but for slightly different reason. I read my December CL on a plane trip with my mother recently and we were cracking up because we thought he looked like Kato Kaelin (sp?). :o :D But the picture definitely made an impression on me!

You are right, there is a group of people sitting around a table - i believe it is all part of the same article. I had the same thought regarding where his interests may lie (it's funny how you can make assumptions - likely unwarranted - from a picture!)....I was chalking my thought patterns up to current life cynicism! He is certainly good looking, but moreso his face comes across as relaxed and kind. Maybe he will appear out of the woodwork and end the mystery. :)

Actually, what I think it is, for me, is that he looks somewhat like my dad as a younger man, so maybe there is the appeal of the familiar there or something. Egad, where is Freud when you need him??

The plot thickens if you keep looking through that issue. He is in at least one other picture and I think several (I left my issue at work, sorry I don't have page numbers). In one picture he and several others are sitting around a table and there is another guy to his right that has to be his twin! Wadda ya think? I also think, IMHO, that he seems more interested in the other guys at the party than the women.

Of course I had to look up the picture when I saw this thread. :D NancyR, the thought that the two guys at the dinner table might be brothers crossed my mind. There are some similarities there for sure.

Thank you! When I went to my Dec. magazine to have a look-see, I noticed that pages 122 - 126 were torn out. Darn! Must have been the recipes or perhaps subliminally, Mr. handsome that made me tear out this particular article. Hope I can still find it in my "to do" cooking pile. :o

Either that, or your teenage daughters got ahold of the issue. ;) :D

Okay.....did anybody see the latest Toyota Rav 4 TV commercial? I could swear it was the same guy! There was something about cardboard packages jumping around a huge grocery store or warehouse shopping parking lot.....don't ask me about the commercial 'cause I just kept staring at the guy thinking he was the same one as in the CL issue.

And what is that necklace hanging around his neck? A religious medal or is he so young he is still "going steady"?

He is attractive, but there was something that bothered me about him. He has that look on his face that guys get when they're pretending to listen to you, but they're looking just slightly past you and they have that "glazed over" look, so you know they aren't really listening.

This is my first day back at work since before the holidays, and I seriously need a distraction.

The guy in the picture is straight. He is gazing intently at ME (I'm sitting to the right of the person taking the picture). The necklace was a Christmas gift from someone sitting at the table, so he's wearing it to be polite. We're having dinner at a friend's house (we're not responsible for the strange looking picture behind him), and are leaving for a romantic ski trip the day after this dinner party.

It's my fantasy, and I'll spin it any way I want . . .

As for the necklace, I prefer to look at it as him being easygoing "sure! I'll wear a necklace in a picture!" (and then 'what? pose naked next to a chocolate creme brulee for the Valentine's issue? ok!)

A year ago I participated in a fitness video that had a trailer posted on the web. i followed with some horror and fear the constant comments about me that were posted. luckily they were complimentary but it is still an unnerving thing to be reading other people's comments especially when they don't know you. So, if the honey glazed carrot loving, necklace wearing adorable pg 123 man is reading, please know, all in a good spirit, you really are adorable. :-)

He looks too green for my tastes and I'm "only" 33. He looks like he just jumped off the set of OC or a tad "skater dude" ish.

He's cute!

edited to add: ok i just re looked at the picture and he's too old for skater dude, but he does look like he's for young artiste or actor or somethin.

I actually have posted on other threads and have read and or followed others. Is there a reason why it would matter? Regardless, I'm not here to argue with you, as I said, my postings are not directed solely at you, and are neither intended to amuse or offend you.
