View Full Version : Overnight Meringue Torte (12/03) -- Any Reviews?

I'm looking for reviews of the "Overnight Meringue Torte" that was in the December 2003 issue. I'm thinking of making it for a women's group I'm in, and I'm wondering how it tastes. When I did a search, I saw threads about making sure to use egg whites that will fluff up correctly, but I couldn't find anything about how this turned out. Does anyone know? I don't want to try this recipe out on my women's group without some positive reviews. Thanks!

Just bumping this thread back up. :) I'm really desperate to find someone who has successfully made this recipe! It seems perfect for what I want, but I want to make sure it's good! Thanks!

One last DESPERATE attempt to find out whether or not I should make this for my women's group meeting this coming week. This is the first time I have ever posted a question on this board and haven't found anyone to help me! :( I sure hope someone somewhere out there who has tried this recipes sees this post and answers. I am waiting anxiously for replies! :D

I really don't think anyone has reviewed this - it definitely wasn't a "hit" among people on the board. I did a search of the archives, and there were a couple of threads with people asking questions about using pastuerized egg whites, but no one reported back after making it. Sorry! It just may be that no one who made this is on the boards.

Candace -- thanks for responding, even if you didn't have a review. And thanks for searching for threads about this recipe for me. It sounds like you found the same things I did, with no real info on how the dessert turned out. I guess the bulletin board "regulars" just weren't excited enough by the recipe to try it out. Now I just have to decide if I want to risk an unknown recipe for my women's group. Decisions, decisions. :rolleyes:
