This was so incredibly good! I did do a few things different - melted down an anchovie in a little EVOO instead of using the paste and used dried, minced, toasted onions (from Penzey's) instead of the onion powder.
I will most likely add a little more red pepper flakes next time for a little extra bite and plan on making my own pizza crust (something I've never done). Thanks to all who posted this recipe!!!

Oh good! I just found some leftover tomatoe paste in the fridge and wondered what to do with it,thanks!
I have a question, I bought a tube of anchovy paste recently but have never used it, do I refrigerate it afterwards? How long does it keep?

I tried this last week, as well, & really liked it. Had never made my own. Just eyeballed all the herbs, and used whatever I had on hand.

Salmon is one of our fav pizza toppings, though, and learned that it is best w/out a sauce. The sauce overpowers it. Next time I'll use the sauce w/turkey sausage or something like that.

I keep my tube of anchovy paste in the refrigerator. I don't know exactly how long it is good. I've had mine in there for a very long time and still use it. Maybe someone else knows a more specific time frame.

I was talking to my MIL about this too and she said that the regular anchovies in olive oil last for 1 year so I would assume the paste would last just as long.....not really 100% sure though.....I'll look into it and get back to you all.
Oh ya - for the tomato paste I found a roasted garlic tomato paste (Contidina brand) that I have been using for all recipes calling for tomato pastes and it works really well - not overpowering at all, but gives the dish a little more.

Reporting back to say that this is an excellent recipe! I made it for a homemade pizza this weekend and it was easy to make and so good. I think I will decrease the honey a bit next time I make it, because it was a bit on the sweet side for our tastes. Thanks again for the recipe!

I finally made this pizza sauce for our Sunday Pizza night and it was AWESOME! I cut back the honey by half, but that was the only change I made. It sat in the fridge for about 4 hours before we made dinner and what a difference the time makes from when I tasted it right after mixing. Also, this was plenty spicy for us and we LOVE spicy! I will definitely never used canned sauce again! Excellent!

This has become a regular in our house since I found it on this BB last year.

My only other comment is to check the label on your tomato paste. I discovered that many brands are chockfull of HFCS.
