I don't post much, but need some help. Just found out I need to bring a dessert to my moms for dinner tonight. I was going to make the Cranberry-Apple crisp with cinnamon-maple cream (Dec 05 p168). Amazingly I have everything but dried cranberries, but I do have fresh. Can I just substitute 1/2 as many fresh for dried and omit the soaking in the brandy or some other formula? I have been trying to search online, but have only come up with lots of stats on cranberries, but no real help. If you have a minute and can help, I would really appreciate it. :o Thanks, Dana

Here's a recipe I found on the internet using fresh cranberries. Maybe you can use it instead.
Apple Cranberry Crisp
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups chopped tart apples
2 cups raw cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup quick oats
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 stick of butter or margarine, cut in small pieces(4 ounces)
PREPARATION:
Spread applies & cranberries in bottom of a buttered 2-quart casserole dish. Spread sugars, oats and nuts over apples and cranberries.Top evenly with butter pieces. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes at 325°.
