Congratulations, Julie!

It's so sweet of you to cook up some meals for her. I think that's the best present you can give to a new mom. I think baking a couple of big batches of muffins and freezing them would be helpful to her, too. It's sometimes hard for a new mom to find time to eat breakfast. A muffin and some oj or milk is great for a quick breakfast or snack. Chili freezes well, too.

I am spending Saturday at my step-daughter's, preparing food for her freezer to help her through the next couple of weeks. I have spinach lasagne and a healthy chicken/vegetable soup planned, but I'd love to hear your suggestions on healthy food that would freeze and reheat well. (This post was really just an excuse to tell you that I just went through the entire delivery with her and it was INCREDIBLE! Being childless myself it was an awsome experience and the baby is SOOO beautiful! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif So now I'm a Nana!)
