I am hosting a Bachelorette party in about 2 weeks and I am in need of some game ideas? Were having dinner at a fondue restaurant and then dessert at someone's house. I need some fun games, any help?

Well, I haven't been to any bachelorette parties http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif but being a fan of the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway," they have a number of "games" that they say are good for parties. You just have to watch to see what's best. The show is on Thursdays from 8-9 eastern time on ABC.

Just trying to get some more help! I don't really need anything to risky but something a bit more mild that people wouldn't think was too boring. T.I.A

At my bachlorette party, my BM's had 4 bags of toilette paper, beads, crepe paper, pipe cleaners, etc... There were 4 teams, and each had to pick one person adn dress them up as a bride. Oddly enough, I (as the bride) didn't win.

Another game was, they e-mailed my DH and made him answer about 20 question about himself, and then tested me to see how many I got right. Everyone else had to write down the number they thought I'd get right. Whoever came closest, won.

Hope this helps. If not, try www.theknot.com (http://www.theknot.com)

Here are some mild ideas that a friend did for a bachelorette party once:
- Choose a word (e.g., love, wedding, baby) and make a mix tape (or CD) with short clips from the songs that contain that word (not necessarily the chorus)... Guests have to write down the name of the song and the artist (kind of like name that tune). Person who gets the most right at the end of the tape wins.
- Play "Bride and Groom Trivia" by writing down semi-obscure questions about the bride and groom (e.g. where was the first date, what sports did the bride play in college, which one like cigars). Guests (sans bride) pick a question out of a hat, read it aloud, and try to answer it. Otherwise, the other guests get a chance.
- Make up a mad libs that guests fill in and then read.

chefandi-

One game that I have always enjoyed involves everyone writing down a little known fact about themselves. You put all the "facts" in a basket and pass it around and have each person read a fact (or to avoid handwriting recognition, just have one person read them). Each of the guests tries to match the fact with someone in the room.

It can really be a lot of fun and is almost guaranteed to make people laugh and get to know one another better!

A variation on this game:

For every question the bride-to-be gets wrong she needs to put a piece of gum in her mouth.

We did something fun for my friend last year. We divided the girls up into two teams and armed them with video cameras and a list of things to do. Like, find someone to recite the alphabet, have a drink at a certain bar, find someone who knows your state flower, steal a member from the opposing team...you get the idea. We had about twenty things to complete. Each task was to be videotaped. The team with the most tasks completed won. Needless to say, we have no idea who won because we were laughing so hard at the videos. Truly a great time!

I got I think 12 or 14 out of 20. Some were really silly though. Vitaly later told me that the answers that I ended up giving would have also been correct.

I did find out that he hates cauliflower though.

The next day, my sister tried answering the questions about my BIL (they've been married for 12 years) and she got less right then I did http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I know that they used to have Mad Libs for baby showers. Wonder if they make them for weddings? I would go to Amazon and check - they are SO fun with a group!

I just attended a wild and crazy bachlorette party and there was some good games. One was the husband to be was filmed answering about 20 questions like: where was your first date? what annoys you about her? what does she get annoyed with? etc. Then at the party we asked her these questions, then showed his answers to see if they matched. It was fun! Then we went out to a club and made her where a tshirt with all these boys names on it and had guys sign her shirt. It was fun!

Oh this is bad...This 'game' won't work for your party since you're not going out on the town with the party, but I still had to share this!

A few months ago DH and I were out with friends in Pioneer Square in Seattle, drinking beer and having fun in a friendly 'pub'. This loud group of girls came in, and we could tell after a few minutes it was a bachelorette party. The bride-to-be was dressed in a nice pair of jeans, boots, and a white T-Shirt. Her friends had COVERED this white T-Shirt with colorful Life Savers candies. We asked one of the girls how they got them on the shirt, she said they moistened them really good first with water then stuck them on and let them dry. They were stuck all over the front, the back, and the sleeves, about 50 or 60 of them! On the front in 'puff paint' they had written "$1 per Suck". Good-natured guys that knew it was a bride-to-be were handing over dollars and kneeling in front of this lady or behind her, suckin' on Life Savers. She couldn't stop giggling, and they were having a ball! The whole pub was getting into it! They were going from pub to pub, not really drinking much, just having fun with the group. The really cool thing about it was the chauffer and designated driver for the group was the bride's father! No one got out-of-hand that we could see, and it was all in good fun. One of the girls told us that the money she 'earned' from the guys was paying for the drinks! We thought it was hilarious... Too bad I'm already married! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

This isn't a party game but I thought I'd share because I think it's pretty funny. My husband's "best man" was the drummer in his band who is actually a woman. DH didn't want a typical bachelor party (strippers and beer are not really his style, thank god) and his "best man" was grateful for that since she didn't really want to throw a party like that (or go to one, for that matter). Instead, she threw him an anti-bachelor party--everything was just like what you would have at a bachelor party turned on its head. She invited the wives and me and instead of having a porno video she had this really funny "how to dance" video. One thing that was like a bachelor party was that she had all his friends "roast" him--which was very funny. But the best part was she had me do a "reverse" strip tease. I snuck out and rang the doorbell and they announced the stripper was here. DH got pretty nervous at that point because he really thought they had got a stripper. When I came in he looked very confused and apprehensive. I was all dressed like your ordinary stripper for a bachelor party--very mini skirt, high heels, lots of makeup, etc. We put on the quintissential strip music (you know, that goes "bada dada dada dada, bada dada dada dada, da da da, boom, boom, boom") but instead of taking clothes off, I proceeded to get dressed in a big white terry-cloth bathrobe, fluffy slippers, curlers in my hair, and a mud mask, the whole time using the stripper moves, sitting in his lap, etc. Everyone was dying laughing. We have great pictures of me with the whole get up, sitting on his lap--too funny. Just had to share.

Jewel-

I am imbarrassed to admit, but my friends made me wear a shirt like that for my party. It said, "Suck for a Buck." They loosely sewed the lifesavers on to the shirt. Another thing that was bad, was they got the shirt size XS! It was a lot of fun, but also imbarrassing! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Here is a game from Whose Line... that I have found to be fun at parties (keep in mind that it requires people who enjoy "performing" or acting silly).

Party Guest
Each person writes down on a piece of paper a "condition" or mind set for a person (examples are "thinks she's a monkey," "thinks she's Michael Jackson"). Everyone but one person (maybe the bride?), picks a condition and leaves the room and the person left is the "host" of a party. The other guests enter one by one exhibiting their "condition" and the "host" has to guess what it is. I know it sounds strange and complicated but it is hilarious and fun. You can do this in teams, sort of like charades, so that the other team can watch.
