View Full Version : Not enough entrees in July issue

Desserts in the July issue look great, and I can't wait to try them.
BUT, there aren't enough entrees. CL, please we need more balance. Disapppointed to find only two pork dishes under Meat, and two chicken dishes under Poultry in the index.
Comments anyone?

I totally agree. Even though summer is a great time for fruit desserts, I want something for dinner! Desserts are an extra (sometimes necessary) but regular meals are a constant!

I agree completely with you both. This month's issue does seem kind of unbalanced. But I don't really mind too much, because I'm still exploring the many tempting recipes in the May and June issues, and have started rereading some older issues and noticing good recipes that I had passed over or forgotten about. PLUS there's all the non-CL recipes that you guys share! With all this, I'll be busy for quite a while!

I agree! I thought it was just me! I told my husband the very same thing after I looked through it. I can't wait to try the desserts!

I agree with Natasha. It's too hot to do lots of cooking in July and August...I like sandwiches, grilled food and salads. I've been going back to the April, May and June issues and still have a long list of things to try. Overall I think the magazine is very balanced and address lots of good material. One issue light on entrees is OK with me. So I'm making lots of desserts, I'm not getting any complaints. My daughter is relieved that I haven't made anything with tofu lately.
