DH got me a 6 3/4Qt French Oven, and if you ordered it in white you got that soup pot (in white) for free. He placed his order on 9/23/05. I still don't have my *&*^%$#^%*&*&(^%%$$@# soup pot. I did get the french oven months ago. I've had to approve 3 *&^^%^%$$@!@#@#$^ delays in my order. I just change it to pay for shipping, and it's still going to be 6 ^#$#@!@#^*(*& weeks before they ship my pot!!!

Would someone please tell me why Le Creuset is so expensive? What makes it worth the price?

Well, as mad as I am about the delay I do still want my pot. I just love the french oven. It's really easy to clean too. I'm sure the weight & import fees have something to do with the cost.

Several places have this pot for $69.99 right now. Chef's Catalog and Williams-Sonoma are two that I have seen.

I'm tempted since I have a gift certificate to W-S, but the pot seems too small for much of anything, so I think I need to hold out for a bigger one.

From the home page: down near the bottom of the "Browse" column on the left, under Bargains, click on "Outlet." Then, at the top of the outlet page, under the blue "outlet" tab, one of the choices is The Friday Sale.
