I live in West Newton and really like cooking, drinking wine and chatting. Just wondering if there are any Supper Clubs in the area looking for new members or perhaps some ladies looking to start a Supper Club.

I now realize I should have given a little more information in my posting-I'm new to this. Anyway, I'm looking for folks west of Boston MA, probably to far to travel from PA. Good luck

Mary
I am in Newtonville and would love to either start a club, or join one.

Found your inquiry looking for a locl dinner club. We work in Wellesley and live in South Natick, and we are also curious about doing this. In truth, we're a lot older than most of the respondents--in our late 50's--and we noticed that most folks are 25 to 35. What's your status? Did you find a group? Is everyone about the same age? Anybody with a little gray hair? We don't mind hangin' with younger couples, but they may not feel likewise--I have no idea. Anyway, tell us what you know. We eat out a lot and love to cook also, and we'd like to meet other food lovers. Tell us what you know. Thanks, "Foodlovers"

Hi - I live in Quincy and would also be interested in joining/starting a supper club. I am new to the area and this would be a great way to meet new people. Let me know...

Mary, Foodlovers and Anette,
I'm interested in getting a group started. I am mid forties and married although, my husband probably would not join us. I think that the more diverse we are, the more fun we'll have! What should be our next step?

Hi all,
It looks like we have Mary, yellowdog, foodlovers and myself...anyone else interested? If we have enough takers, could we look at a tentative date for February/March? Anyone willing to host the first time around? :D

Hi all,
I just noticed, on a separate thread, the option of meeting at a restaurant for the first time around...getting to know one another and discuss options. What do you all think?

I think that having our initial meeting in a resturant is a great idea! Any suggestions?

yellowdog,
Unfortunately, I'm still figuring out the area and my suggestions would be limited to the Quincy area. Any ideas from anyone else?

Interested in exploring here too, also have another friend looking for a supperclub. Don't know yet if DH will participate this time around, we were in a wonderful club in the past which ended for a variety of reasons. Foodlovers, I'm 50 and DH beats that by 8 years :) so, you are not alone!
How about meeting in W. Newton, there's a Starbucks for a quick meet or a really good Thai if people are interested in dinner. I think there is also an Uno's- is that right, Mary? The area is right off the Pike, so easy to get to.
Thoughts?

The Thai place sounds good to me. What evenings work for you?

Hi all -
How about a Thursday evening at the Thai place - which sounds really good by the way. Any requests as to the date?

I can do a Thursday night, BUT, the places I was talking about are actually in Newton Corner, not West Newton....sorry. Not too far though, just about 5 minutes down Washington St.
There's a great French restaurant in West Newton though :D There is a Dunkin Donuts, I'm not sure what else.
Anyway, I'm available Thursday the 23rd.

Hi all
Amarin in Newton Corner has semi private tables in the center of the restaurant. We've done birthdays there and it has worked well. If we'd just like coffee, the Newton Highlands Coffee house on Lincoln St. is fun, and close to 128 and Rt 9. I can't be there on the 23rd (school vacation) but can make it either the 16th (in 2 days) or March 2nd. If you all want to meet on the 23rd and just send me the time and place for the next meeting, that works too.
