(Tiger, this message is especially for you!) http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Well, I went to the All-Clad factory outlet sale last Saturday. What fun it is!
Tables upon tables (and BOXES upon BOXES) of All-Clad... as far as the eye could see! Really! And so many people! Everytime I go there, the same two words come to my mind: FEEDING FRENZY!!! People go crazy! But honestly, I didn't push or shove anyone!!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
The prices were VERY good! For example, 1 1/2 or 2 qt saucepans for $25! The selection was excellent... probably every item made was there. I did break down and get 2 pieces of the bakewear... it was just so beautiful, and such good prices! Less than half price of regular retail. I got the jelly roll pan (and I was assured it is IMPERVIOUS to cooking spray!), and the 8" square baking pan. I also got a 4 1/2 qt. Emerilware "casserole/soup" pot, also for less than half price in the stores. It is gorgeous, and looks very lovely w/ all my stainless! I PROBABLY could have lived without it (but maybe not?!)... I have the 3 1/2 qt soup pot and the 5 1/2 qt dutch oven, but there are lots of times (for example, our favorite Spicy Thai Shrimp Soup!) that the 3 1/2 qt is just too small and the other is just too large! (BTW, I was right! I made the soup the next day and it "fit" perfectly!) I think the Emerilware will be fun, too, because it is non-stick... I can invision LOTS of uses... cheesy casseroles, rice-y dishes, jambalayas, etc)
Plus I got a cute little stainless "flour" scoop for $3. Now how could you beat that?!
So, that was that! I just thought I should check in! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
Next sale will be early December!
