Has anyone made the Pepper, Coriander and Sesame Seed-Crusted Salmon in the March issue?

Yes, my dinner club made it last week. It was fast, easy, tasty and very impressive. I would definitely make it again.

Thanks for the heads-up/review!! This looks great...fast, easy and tasty are at the top of my list of wants.

What sides would be served with this - any suggestions?

My dinner club had it with the rosemary roasted potatoes, a spinach salad with beans, green onions, tomatoes and a sundried tomato vinagrette; these "turnovers" that had goat cheese, roasted peppers and herbs wrapped in filo and cheesecake.

we made this the other night. my DH really liked it, but the salmon was too fishy for me (but that's only because i just started eating fish - i need something milder!). we had it with roasted garlic mashed potatoes & salad. it was very easy to make.

Thanks for the input, all. I made it tonite and I thought it was great! I would recommend a little less pepper though. A good side with it is Basmati Rice - light and nutty.

Could you make this ahead and freeze it for later use? It sounds wonderful!

OK, I'm pulling out this old thread because I had some salmon from TJ's that I bought - Wild Coho, as opposed to the usual farm raised that I typically buy. I wanted something especially good for the supposed "better" salmon. Well, the dish went together really fast, and the smell of the crushed peppercorns, coriander and sesame seeds was really wonderful. But this dish was so gross as to almost be inedible!!! I give this dish a 2 at the most and my husband just said to give it a 3. I read a few other posts about this one, and everyone said it was as good or better than the Maple Glazed Salmon, which gets a good 8 or 9 by us, so I had really high hopes for this recipe. Imagine my surprise when it came out AWFUL! I'm glad I only made a 1/2 recipe, and I only "wasted" two pieces of the salmon. Oh well. I guess I won't go play the lottery today - this makes the second recipe in as many days that was a bust.

But lest I sound negative, I can go forever making new recipe after new recipe without a single "failure", so overall, I'm still batting a .990 with CL recipes! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Delicious and easy. I made it several times already. One of my favorite salmon recipe. Last time I served it with the Fried rice and Asparagus with Pecans (don't know if it's in the march or may issue) and it was really good.
