I'm in the throes of a nasty head cold. It was a quick onset. Luckily I've got my CL issue about fighting colds with foods. So far, I've eaten a raw clove of garlic, taken a dose of Vitamin C, drank a couple of mugs of tea. Right now I'm chowing down on a bowl of chicken soup (Thank goodness I made a huge batch on the weekend). I crushed a couple of cloves of garlic and put it into the soup for extra benefit.
I feel like a walking scientific experiment. The chicken soup seems to be slowing down the nasal drip. Raw garlic makes me feel perkier, less sick. I don't know about the Vitamin C or the tea. The only remedy I haven't tried yet is the hot toddy and that's because I don't have brandy. But that's on my list for tomorrow.
If I'm ranting it's because it's 3am, and I can't get to sleep because of this idiotic cold. Oh well. Night folks.
