I want to make these today, but I have a quick question. Nancy you wrote to use a metal pan. I have a glass pan, do I need to adjust the time or heat? Val I saw the picture you posted (very cool). Why do you use foil and do you spray it with Pam?
I am not the best baker so I apologize if these questions seem very basic.

if you use a glass pan, reduce the oven temp by 25 degrees. they should still take 15-20 minutes that way.
I almost always line my pan with the Reynolds Release Foil. It is a special (more expensive) kind of foil. Nothing sticks to it. Ever. And you don't have to grease it. I only use it because it saves me from having to wash my pan -- there is no other reason beyond that.
do you have any kids around? they'd love to help with this recipe. and if not help you make it, they are guaranteed to help you eat it. Thanks again, Nancy.

Val, glad you liked them! Easy enough for Julia too! And I think your instructions for a glass pan are right on.
ETA - thanks for posting that picture :)

Do you think I could get away with subbing half the oil with applesauce? I would like them to be a bit less guilt producing if possible. I have used this sub for many baked goods, but wasn't sure if it would work with these.

I rarely lighten things, so I don't have an answer as to how good they'd be. I mean, I am sure they wouldn't be a flop, but I am not sure if they'd be good enough to bother with... perhaps some people who are experienced lighten-ers would know.
