Several months back, when DH and I were in another city, he found the neatest little insert that you put in your sink to keep materials from clogging it. It is so fine that if you pour buttermilk through it, only the smallest amount of the wateriest substance gets through! It is made of stainless steel and a fine mesh, and is dishwasher safe and we LOVE it!!

As is usually the case with something you are that sold on, we can no longer find one like it ANYWHERE, including the original place it was purchased!! We have launched a futile search in Lecter's and cooking type stores, hardware stores, etc. and they have disappeared from the face of the earth. Several months back, I saw one advertized as a good item to have in Saveur mag., but there was no source listed.

Surely with this scattered, diverse BB membership, someone has run across something like this in a store or catalogue and could point me in the right direction OR would be willing to keep their eyes open for me. If you happen to find one, please e-mail and I will RUSH payment for several of them to you!

I do NOT shop via the Internet, but if there is a company that you think has one, I could fax or snail mail if provided with the right info. THANKS for your help, gang! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Sara Emily-- This is sooo funny. I found one like that and gave it to my parents a few yrs ago. They wore it out and asked me for another one. I have been searching for years and I finally found one. I just gave it to them this weekend, we met in Orlando for a fun weekend.

If I remember correctly, you were asking about Harry's recently? Any chance you are coming back to Atlanta? I went to a Korean grocery store a couple of weeks ago and saw several. I will probably be going back there in the next couple of weeks, can you wait? Or if you are coming back I can let you know where to go.

Dana to the rescue!!! Thanks for responding so promptly to my plea for help. I was EXCITED to learn, first of all, that someone actually KNEW what I was talking about from my description AND that it looks like a source is in sight!

I'm not certain when our next foray to Atlanta will be, as we were there just a couple of weeks ago, and would LOVE to surprise DH with a few of these as a side anniversary gift to him, and he has been wanting and seeking them more fervrently than I! Please don't feel pushed or obligated in any way, but if you will be going anyway ..... and if you should see them again .... I would DEARLY LOVE IT if you would pick up about four or five for me and post them. That's asking alot, but I would be so-o-o grateful! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

My e-mail address is ka4rhh@surfsouth.com. If you are willing, please let me know your snail mail address and I will send you a check that will more than compensate the items, postage, etc. I will also send along another little something that I think you will really enjoy, just for your taking the time and trouble to help out. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

If you don't get back to that store as planned, then I would be glad to know its location and we will scout it out when we do make our next "pilgrimage" north. In any case, thanks for your reply.

Can you get the store's phone #, and the product # and description. I'm always replacing my strainers.

Sara Emily.....I have them too! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif I have one in my kitchen sink and one in my bathroom sink and bathtub. I bought them at Lecter's before Christmas...one of each size. I am sorry now that I didn't buy more considering that Lecter's has closed its doors at our resident mall. I know that the ones I have won't last forever so I will be on a hunt too and if I find them, I will certainly pick up some extras and let you know. The ones in the bathroom sink and tub are great because they catch all those nasty hairs that eventually clog up the drains! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Mamasue, how INCREDIBLY talented, helpful, and wonderful can one lady be?!?! You are not only "Queen of Graphics," but I now ADD to your accolades "Queen of Hardware!" http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

In a fit of delirium at finding information I thought would be nigh impossible to find, I rushed to the website you listed and saw the pictures of EXACTLY what my little heart desired! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif And .... as if that wasn't wonderful enough .... they even entertain fax and phone orders from those of us who are hyper-paranoid about ordering over the Internet! You have MADE my day, week, month, and year, you sweet and clever lady!

And, with DmOrtega and probably others who see this wanting to place an order from this company, you should definitely talk with them about a commission. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gifwink

Dana, when I checked my post this morning to see if there had been any response to my post (and not with much hope, I might add!), I was so pleased to find your response. It kept me on a upbeat note throughout the day! It looks like ordering from this co. will be our best option since it will eliminate putting you through the bother of having to package and post the items, PLUS the fact that there are even MORE types of these little gems than I had imagined! If I can come through for you in any way in the future, give a holler! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

You guys are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw one this morning at a "Corning" outlet. I never really go in there, but I did this time to look at some jars. There at the checkout the were. They came in different sizes too.
