ISO Cajun Soup or Salad Ideas

I have a dinner club party to go to this weekend and the theme is Cajun. I have to bring the soup or salad. I have done a bit of searching, and mostly come up with various types of gumbo, which l love, but I think it may be a bit to heavy since we are having appetizers, full main course and dessert as well. Any thoughts about lighter soups or a type of salad?
