? about having your cell phone number blocked from telemarketers

Has anyone gotten an email about having your cell phone number put on a list so that telemarketers will NOT call? I was told by a few people it's a scam and NOT to participate. Does anyone know anything about this?

check snopes.com. This is a fraud/scam - don't do it.
