Forgive me if this has been posted, and it's not much info but I just noticed this at Amazon! I love Ina's books...not light, but negotiable and always good, imo...

Cool! Her books are nicely produced, too. I also like the fact that they're tied so closely to what she makes on her program.

Yay! Yay! Yay!

I LOVE BC cookbooks. Like someone on these boards said, her recipes are like a friend giving you a tried and true.

Right on! I just love her. She is right now the absolute closest to my own personal taste. Everything I've made from her cookbook Family Style has been divine

We also love her, but I'll admit that I've gained weight since discovering her cookbooks.......

I went ahead and ordered the one that is coming out this fall and the other 4, hopefully they all come together. I waited this long to order them I think I can wait until November.

Her most recent book is "Barefoot in Paris".

Thanks! For those of you who have all of them, which are the best? I have Family Style and will eventually buy the rest, but I'd appreciate the help on which to buy next

My hands down favorite is BC Parties.

My only problem with Ina is suppressing raging envy of her lifestyle. :-) I don't have the party book, but I like the rest!

The only dud I've ever had from her, actually, is the veggie soup in the Paris book. I didn't like the saffron in it, and I used butternut squash and it turned out too sweet for me; the pesto helped a bit but not enough. But next time I'll know better.

I bought all of them because I couldn't pick a favorite. :D If you go to her website: www.barefootcontessa.com There is a list of recipes from each cookbook. Maybe that will give you an idea of which cookbook looks the best to you. Some recipes appear in more than one cookbook. (I think that was sweet of her to assume that not everyone would buy all her cookbooks just to get a recipe that went with another one)

I can't wait to get her other cookbook. Maybe she'll travel around signing books... :D

Ina's recipes are probably my favorite out of all the cookbooks I use. Maybe our tastes are similar, everything is awesome. My favorite recipe is the potato fennel gratin in her Barefoot Contessa book, the best scalloped potato recipe, and I've tried many.

You can't go wrong with any of her books, I believe.

I find Ina is the closest cook to my own tastes as well. And I love that her food is so "clean". Not mucked up, just good, clean food with great ingredients. Thats my complete cooking philosophy!

I second that review. She doesn't combine too many flavors or too many ingredients in one dish. I also feel so contessa-like when I make her dishes :)

Well, I got impatient with waiting for the 4 that are already out so awhile ago I did change my order and received the first four and now I can't wait for the one this fall to come in the mail.

If you find a picture on the internet then you right click on it. This will bring up a box and under location it should have, as in this example, http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/1400054346.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V62544642_.jpg
It has to have the jpg at the end. Click on the yellow square that says insert image and paste the location. It should show this jpg between [IMG]jpg[IMG]

If you right click on the picture above you will see what I mean.
Hopefully that that helps.

i clicked the link you gave...then right-clicked Ina's picture...and among the boxed options...none for "insert" ---i get options to save, email, print, copy, set as background..etc. When i tried "copy" and then try to paste in a CL message "paste" is not an available option to use. Any suggestions?

The insert box is in the reply here....it looks like a postcard with a yellow box and a mountain, sort of, right under size and color. When you put your mouse over it says insert image, When you click on it a box comes up. That is where you paste the image location.

DON'T click the link i gave you. I was just showing you what it looks like for this picture. Right click on the picture.

Sorry I am not being too clear here.

THANK YOU lonetree! I'm curious...where did you figure out you had to bracket the picture address with the IMG at the beginning AND the end so the picture would indeed show?

Congratulations.

When you click on the postcard, for lack of a better word, for inserting the image it says "enter the text to be formatted and then shows an example using xxx as the location address.

Glad you were able to understand my instructions :D
