kudos to Salvation Army

Long story short, DH and I just returned from 3 days doing volunteer medical work in New Orleans. It was the most gratifying thing I have ever done and I could write volumes but I just want to say what a stellar job I think the Salvation Army does. I always wondered if my donated dollar was worth it....now I feel it definitely is. They are a great group. Those poor people in New Orleans are still in desperate need and should not be forgotten.

We donate to Salvation Army regularly, and it's always good to hear things like that. A mom I am working with at the school also volunteers with her search dog. She has been asked to return to New Orleans and probably will if they still want her after our spaghetti dinner and auction. They are still looking and trying trying to recover to give families closure -- so there is still a lot going on to help those remaining and rebuilding and to give closure for those who didn't survive. There are a lot of needs .....

I will have to pass this along to my grandmother who spends countless hours donating her time and $$ to the Salvation Army. She believes wholeheartedly in the SA. We also support them.
