View Full Version : B'Ham Day 2: Dinner at CL

Yum, yum, yum!

We started with appetizers: Pureed white beans and roasted red peppers on crostini, and vegetable wraps

Salad: Mixed greens with a vinaigrette.

Main course: Most people had chicken skewers with a barbecue sauce over couscous with roasted asparagus. The asparagus was served over a green onion pancake.

I had salmon with a lemon-caper sauce instead of chicken.

Dessert: Pavlova. A meringue shell with a custard filling and berries over the top.

Wine: Pinot Grigio and a French Merlot. I had the white and enjoyed it. Others liked the red very much. They also served San Pelegrino water.

Food and service was excellent. We also enjoyed sparkling conversation with each other and editors.

Wow...I had oatmeal and orange juice for dinner (I've had nothing but mush all day because I'm having trouble with a crown). I am SO jealous! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif
