Can't believe I don't see a thread started yet!
Who else wants to punch Meredith in the mouth? Poor George! He's finally told her how he feels, and she's just going to take advantage of him and break his adorable little heart! I love George, I'll happily tend to his wounds...
I hope that Addison goes back to NY w/ Mr Plastic Surgeon Heart-throb, nobody should be that conflicted in her situation. Why'd she come crawling back to Derek if she wasn't done with the other guy? Guilt, that's why!
How cute were Burke and Christina w/ the dancing? :)
I like Izzy and Alex together, but looks like drama for next week when the rich heart patient comes back.

That's exactly what I was thinking - she's going to break his heart!
I know it adds to the drama of the show, but if I was Addison, I NEVER would have left Mr. McSteamy...NEVER. ;) I also liked the aspect that she never told Derek that they were involved & living together after he left. It's going to be interesting when D does find out, as you know he will, probably sooner rather than later.
I agree that Meredith is annoying as He@# and then for her to sleep w/George ...

I am so annoyed that Meredith is going to sleep with George! He is going to get his heart broke - but I still can't figure out WHY is she sleeping with him!
The Derek angle is interesting - but I'm too angry with Meredith to focus much on that!

Because Meredith deals with her emotions by sleeping with anything that looks at her twice. Frankly I'm suprised she didn't jump on Dr. New York in a broom closet or something... I'm like you though, I can't handle any of the other story lines right now because of my Meredith rage...

Absolute tragedy! This is the one show I absolutely cannot miss, I refuse! (even Lost I'll miss for a good reason). Let us know if you want a recap or not (hopefully you'll get to watch it somehow!) because next week's looks to be dramatic!
PS...Ladies, I'm with you on the George thing. I mean, Patrick Dempsey, yes please. But George is a man I could love...
Smidge o' trivia: Did you know that the guy that plays Alex is married w/ 5 kids in real life? 5 of them...wow. He doesn't look old enough to me!

Actually, I knew that!! My friend was in line at Cedar Point and he was in front them!! She has a picture of her, her sister, and him stuck to her fridge (just saw it yesterday). He was really cool and down to earth... couldn't believe all those kiddos were his!
I loved Burke and Christina dancing as well! DH and I got a good laugh. I loved the end of their story also.
Meredith, grrrrr  .

This is so funny I feel the exact same way you do. How about Dr. McSteamy? OMG.... Grrr baby! However he does rub me the wrong way, he seems sort of shady don't you think? Maybe he has a flirting problem? Meredith has become very annoying and I don't understand what all these men are thinking. I hope Addison comes to her senses and leaves back to NY with him. He's right he doesn't love her, its obvious!!!
I bust out laughing when I saw burke and christina dancing, it was really cute, too bad it ended too soon!
Okay I have to disagree, I personally think Alex is a scum bag, Hello, doesn't Izzy know about the whole STD thing and that George had it passed onto him? Gross! I wouldn't touch that with a 10ft pole!
Too bad we already know George is going to get his heart broken....

Hehe, if I judged all guys by their Venerial Diseases I might have less friends...just kidding :) So he's a tramp, but I think he really has a thing for Izzy, and if that makes him turn around his naughty ways then that's a good thing. The thing with the Syph nurse (after dating Izzy) was just because he was freaked out by actually caring about someone and reacted badly. Not saying it's OK, but human.
George had Syph too and we don't hate him! In theory, Alex could have gotten it as "innocently" as George did.

Okay now... we have a DVD recorder to use instead of a VCR, so I have last night's episode on DVD. I can try to make duplicates of it and send it to those of you who missed it... let me know if any of you want me to try. :p

I think maybe I can. I've thought a lot about this today, because I think Meredith's situation is pretty much paralleling my own lately.
OK. We know that she's in love with McDreamy and that she misses him. And she probably misses him in more ways than one...to the point where if someone approached her in the right way, she'd respond because she missses that other person so much. She'd probably project what she feels for McDreamy onto this other person. I'm not saying it's right, I'm just saying I can understand it.

I loved the episode as well.
My laugh-out-loud moment was when George had to choke back some "McVomit" as the women were swooning over the NY doc.
I'm enjoying the change in their boss now that she's had the baby; and how she was talking to the baby while watching the surgery... "Now, Dr. Shepherd is cutting open the cranium flap."
I also love the story line with Meredith's mother.
My only complaint... I sometimes have to rewind a couple of times to hear what Derek is saying. He mumbles, don't you think?

Yum. McSteamy.
I hope Meredith doesn't break George's heart, but it's bound to happen.

Here's my take on Meredith. She's obviously got some abandonment issues. First her dad, now McDreamy, and who knows how many others in between. And here comes George, telling her he'll never hurt her, he'll never stop loving her. That was probably a very compelling sentiment considering her frame of mind. I don't think she is setting out to hurt him, or that she's even aware of what she's doing. George caught her at a very vulnerable moment, and his timing was exactly right (or wrong, depending on how you look at it).
I was actually hoping this might be a turning point in the whole story line, with Meredith finally seeing what George has to offer. But clearly, from the previews for next week's episode, that doesn't seem to be the case. And really, I guess it wouldn't make for very compelling tv either.

Robyn, I think you're right. It makes me feel a little less exasperated with her to think that.

I'll buy that.
I bet, if we could ask Shonda (which I suppose we could at www.greyswriters.com (http://www.greyswriters.com) we'd find it out it's a combination of both of our thoughts!
ETA: OK, Robyn wins, she's right. I looked at the site! :)

I think they've been capitalizing on Thursday nights while the Olympics are running, to nab the NBC ER audience. But I just had DH check the digital cable guide for Thurs and he didn't see it this week.

Hilarious! I didn't even know that site existed, but I just went and read what the writer wrote about this episode, and I've got to say--I'm freakin' brilliant! I may have a calling as a TV character psychologist or something because I nailed that right on the head! ;)
