I just wanted to say, OH MY GOODNESS! I saw La Nouba in Orlando this past weekend. I had heard raves about Cirque, but had never gone to a show. Wow. Pricy, but sooo worth it. I don't know if I have ever been so entertained. I felt like a child again, sitting on the edge of my seat.
If you have an opportunity, please see it! I can't wait until they come to Atlanta again!

My husband and I got married in Las Vegas 7 years ago (on Thurs. as a matter of fact) and we saw Cirque De Soleil. It was fantastic! Yes, the tickets were expensive, but they were worth it.

Daner,
Wasn't it amazing! My favorite was those 4 or 5 little Asian girls with the ropes and the wooden spindles. My mouth was hitting the floor for the whole 2 hours! So glad you had fun! I cannot wait to see another show!

That show was set up one mile from my home for over a month at the beginning of the year. Every time we hit the freeway we saw those awesome looking tents! Due to DH's extensive business travels during that time AND my first surgery limitations, we couldn't make it while it was here. I heard they were about $50 per ticket, but that wouldn't have bothered me! I heard it was such a great show...maybe it'll be back to Seattle soon!

We went on our recent trip to Orlando and agree with your report. Amazing. The little girls were great, but I think the trampolines was my favorite. It was not only mindblowing, but beautiful to watch. I loved it.
Stopped into Wolfgang Pucks next door for dinner too...GREAT!

We just saw La Nouba (for free!!) when we were in Orlando in December. I had earned it (along with the entire trip to Disney) for my whole family through Pampered Chef. My kids said it was their favorite part of the trip! Totally enjoyable.

I was in Vegas about 7 years ago also and saw Cirque. It was one of the most amazing shows I've ever been to. Highly worth the cost. I also saw the Righteous Brothers and Jerry Seinfeld when I was there. It was a super trip.

Dana,
My DH and I were in Atlanta in January and went to the Mall of Georgia, where they show two IMAX movies every few hours, every day (as does Fernbank!). We are really HOOKED on IMAX movies, and there is a new 3-D format for some of them now that makes them even MORE wonderful, in which you use these special 3-D expensive goggles they lend you. It makes EVERYTHING look incredible real, and as though it were all happening just a couple of feet in front of you!
All of that to say that, when we went in Jan., one of the movies was Cirque du Soleil! During the 50 minute themed presentation, they did six long, wonderful, and very diverse routines that absolutely wowed us! The tickets are only about $7.50 per person, and for that, you had the "best seat in the house," with it all seeming to be happening just inches away!
I know that all the places in the country that show IMAX films just keep circulating them between theatres, adding new ones as they become available, and showing them from three to four months at a time. Since this mall just showed this one, it probablt won't be back THERE for two to three years, but you might want to phone Fernbank (on Ponce de Leon) on accasion just to see if they expect it there anytime in the forseeable future. Since you enjoy Cirque, it would be worth a whole special trip there JUST to see it! Tell them I sent ya! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

We were in Vegas over Memorial Day weekend. Apparently both Cirque shows (“O” and “Mystere”) sell out when the tickets go on sale (90 days before the show date). So if you are planning a trip to Vegas and want tickets, I highly recommend planning ahead.
But…..we happened to arrive five minutes before Mystere was about to start at Treasure Island. We got in the line for last minute cancellations and somehow, only ten minutes into the show, got awesome seats that had been cancelled by a VIP. Apparently at Mystere you are pretty likely to get seats if you stand in the waiting line, but less likely for “O.”
Mystere was really awesome! One of the best shows I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. I definitely think it was worth the price.
