This bread stirs up in just a few minutes and is a nice change from ordinary banana nut bread. My DH only likes slightly underripe bananas so I am always looking for a new way to use up ripe ones.
We both thought it tasted wonderful and the oatmeal gives it a good texture.
The only change I made was to add some nutmeg, as I really like nutmeg with banana.
I had one problem. The recipe makes a lot of batter and the top of the bread got very brown before the center was done. I think next time I will put less batter in the pan and use the remainder for a couple of muffins or a mini-loaf.
