Anybody catch the Food Network special "Giada's Italian Holiday"? It saw the second half yesterday and the first half today. What a life that woman has! Basically, a camera follows her around Italy, taking in the tastes and sights of the stunning country. Her vacation was topped off in Rome with visit from her hubby and $500 custom shoe shopping with her mom! Lucky girl.....where do I sign up to be her assistant? :rolleyes:

I have seen that episode! I didn't know she was married until I saw her DH show up.

I also happened to see the episode this morning where she slurps on the bitter cranberry granita. It's not as bad as that one website made it seem. She was making all the weird faces because it was so cold (or so she claimed).

I saw it and loved it! I think she's so wonderful anyway .. beautiful, thin, sweet, down to earth, etc. I sound like I should be in her fan club. :D

It was fun seeing her DH and Mom on the show. And I liked how she showed her family history at the beginning. Her grandfather is Dino DeLaurentis and her grandmother was a famous Italian actress. I thought it was so cute that she and her DH had pizza and gelato together in Rome and drove around on the vespa.

It was so romantic and made me dream about a trip to Italy with my DH and buying $500 custom shoes. :)

I saw part of that episode. I figure if I worked those hours and worked on two cookbooks and all those tv shows, a $500 shoe spree is cheap and very well deserved! :D

OMG I'm devastated. I have a huge crush on her. Now I have to go kill her husband. Sheesh. :D
JUST KIDDING!! ;)

I watched the show and it was fun. Made we want to get on a plane right away.

Definately worth the watch! I just love her--I wish she would move in next door and be my neighbor :)

I saw the listing, but thought it was a repeat of the special she did with Mario - now I'll have to go back and look. ;)

Her husband is a high level guy at Anthropologie, where she gets most of her clothes. :D
