The canning company that canned that is very near where I live so it has been in the papers. Their response was that it would have sunk to the bottom of the can if it was packed in the can instead of floating on top (which makes sense, it would be heavier than the beans). They have issued a major recall however.

I just think we may eventually find out that this is a hoax.
