Warning! You might be jealous after reading this, at least I would be. I picked up some of these today: CHRISTOPHER ELBOW The fine art of chocolate ( http://www.elbowchocolates.com) I bought a nine piece box with doubles of the Raspberry, Caramel with Fleur de Sel, Morello Cherry, Fresh Lime, and one Exotic Fruits with Coconut. I bought doubles so I could share with my wife. There’s just one problem: They are all tied up in a pretty box, and I think I should probably leave them that way until my wife sees them, but I really want to try one right now. All I can tell is that they look great.

Those are beautiful! Too bad the coolest looking ones are not flavors I would like to eat. Are they filled or solid?

Those chocolates look super! I have a chocoholic friend who might enjoy getting a box in the mail. I'll check if they deliver to Canada.

I’m not sure for about each variety, but I think there is some of each. The cherry for example, is this cherry filling covered with chocolate. The chef showed me the filling; it was square, but looked to be something like a fancy orange slice or gum drop in style. (I’m sure he’d love to hear that comparison. :)) I report back later after I've tried a few.

Man! What a dope I am! There were a handful of food magazines sitting on the counter, Fine Cooking was one of them. I know because I looked over the cover. It never even occurred to me those were there because his chocolates were covered in them. I guess I win the clueless award today.

I love Christopher Elbow Chocolates. The flavor is amazing. He makes them here in Kansas City so you can look through a window as he makes them. I wasn't sure if I would like some of the different flavors, but they are spectacular. I bought boxes for everyone for Christmas and they were very well received. You feel a little bad eating something so pretty, but as soon as you taste one, its hard to stop. I may need to go pick up another box soon.

I did not sample them all last night, but did try the raspberry and the lime. I expected the raspberry would be my favorite, as I pretty much like all things raspberry (tea, cheesecake, etc). The raspberry was very good, but I liked the lime even better. Both of these were a flavored chocolate ganache covered in a chocolate. Maybe I’ll finish the rest off tonight.
