The only one I really care about is Best Actor, and it had better be Joaquin Phoenix for Walk the Line!!!

Right on, PAMMELA!!! I loooooooooove Joaquin, and he was awesome in "Walk The Line". But I think the Academy will probably give it to Philip Seymour Hoffman. And Roger Ebert said he doesn't think Joaquin will win because Jamie Foxx won for a similar role...minus the singing and guitar playing...in "Ray" last year.

I know. Can't I just live in my fantasy world with him for a little bit longer? :D

After viewing all of the nominations, I hope Crash or Capote wins. I don't understand all the hype behind BBM.

It was a great year, wasn't it? So many very good movies and so many strong acting roles.

I'm so glad Crash won. It was an awesome movie with a real plot, lots of action, and it all came together in the end. My favorite kind of movie!

I'm glad Brokeback Mountain didn't win, I don't understand the appeal of glamorizing adultery.

I disagree. In my opinion, saying "Brokeback Mountain" glamorizes adultery is like saying "Gone with the Wind" glamorized the Civil War. Or that "Walk the Line" glamorizes drug addiction. I just don't see it.

(I edited this message because after re-reading it I felt it sounded combative - which was not my intent.)

My favorite win of the night was Rachel Weisz for the Constant Gardener. She was terrific in that -- passionate and irritating.
My second favorite was for Wallace and Gromit because I thought that was hilarious.
It's a shame Pride and Prejudice didn't win because I thought the director did a wonderful job and the actors playing Darcy and Jane were really top-notch, better than Keira Knightley.
