Notice: Our bulletin boards will be down from 9 am - 5 pm CST on Tuesday, June 12th. We are moving our entire website to another server and need to close the boards in order to ensure we don't lose any threads or posts in the transfer.
We appreciate you patience.
Thank you.

But...what am I going to do at work on Tuesday!?? Maelyyn, you CAN'T expect me to work eight hours straight without my favorite diversion!
You people go on about your day on Tuesday, I'll be sitting here staring at a blank screen with sweat beading on my forehead and upper lip, breathing heavily. Withdrawal is such a scary experience! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif

Thanks for the notice. I'll make plans to be out of town! Should be back by Friday and hopefully all the kinks worked out by then...we all know moving creates all sorts of problems-flat tires on the truck, lost boxes, broken china!
Jewel,
Maybe we could all meet at We're Cooking Now to help alleviate the withdrawal!

Maelynn,
Thank you for the notice, it is really appreciated. I have already marked my calendar with a frowning face as a reminder http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif .
I'm with Jewel, I just won't know what to do with myself at work on Tuesday, maybe that would be a good day to call in "sick" http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif .

Maelynn,
Thanks for the advanced warning! Now, I can plan to tackle the spare/storage room for the annual sort-through-and-throw-out extravanganza, slog through my '01-'02 budget projections for work, get started on the web-marketing proposal, hike, write some letters, do my hand-washables.
It's best to keep busy and distracted when working through an addiction http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Jewel - I'd love to see a photo of that for my wall. In fact, anyone wanting to send me a photo of "what you did the day the boards were down", I'd be happy to scan them and post them for the world to see! How funny.

Well at first I was sad, and then I remembered I am working a short day because I have company in town.
Whewwww~ (wiping my forehead in relief)

But we appreciate the head's up!

Hi all. I'm not going to Birmingham, but it's a busy week with birthdays and in-laws, but I can try to get everyone signed up who is interested. Just email me and I'll try to send out invites. I think that I'm the only who can do it.
Unless someone on the other board would like to be "promoted" to assistant manager and help take care of the invites...anyone?
SandyM

I'll help you out Alysha - if no one else volunteers, and if you trust me!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Thanks so much SandyM! I'm just afraid that I'll be too busy to really take care of this. I'll try to "promote" you sometime this afternoon. It can be a pain (as YOU well know!! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif ) since the invites don't always go through. To make sure that they go through, I always send an invite to myself. If I get one, I can be pretty sure that everyone else did too.
So, everyone that is interested can email SandyM for the time being.
Thanks again.

WOO HOO!!! I've been PROMOTED!!! <handing out the party hats and streamers......>
Sorry, it's been a slow week.......
Looking forward to helping out!
Hey guys, try to think of it as just eight hours of 24 instead of a whole day...get up early or see you in the pm for the anniversary/new server party.

THANK YOU Maelynn for letting us know well in advance so we can better prepare for the withdrawals http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/wink.gif !! I think I can speak for the rest of us, we promise to be patient (with the possible help of some good wine or spirit of choice) until 5:00pm CST. After that, there is no telling what will happen! Let's all keep out fingers crossed that the 'move' will go smoothly! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

That's a great idea! Why don't we all meet at the MSN Community. BTW, there are also pictures there of some board members, their kids, their cars, etc...

Great Idea (about meeting at We're Cooking Now) - problem is, lots of people don't know about it here, and I don't recall how I got started there - does anyone else remember?? We need to gather more interest over there!

I'm one of those people! I think you have to be invited to the community in order to join. I'm interested!

Jewel -
they were just practicing last night. In order to take down the bb for a whole day, they needed to practice for a few hours at least. Hope there are no more practice sessions today.

Jewel, KValley, everyone-I am with you!
I will be doing the same, but not sure it would be a pretty picture Maelynn, lol. It would be fun to see what other addictees resort to in a CL crisis and I look forward to seeing them. We just can't live without you guys!
On my way to pestering SandyM for an invite now.. Hang in there everyone! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif Zinnia
Well, this might be good timing for me. I have a big meeting this week, plus I start golf lessons. Having the board down for one day will be one less thing I'll have to catch up on at night after I'm done with everything!
Thanks for the advance notice, too! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Cindy,
Go to page one of this thread and click on the first little box (the one with the ? mark) next to SandyM's name. This will give you her email address and that is where you send your request to get an invite. She and lindrusso are the only ones who can invite...
