As most of you know, I drive a school bus. I do have an awsome group of students/children and we talk during the drive.
A couple of weeks ago, one little fella told me that they were now learning to write cursive and that he didn't like it because it was hard. I told him that anytime that you do something new, it's hard, but THAT practice makes perfect, and the more he did it, the better he would become at it.
A couple of days later, he proudly told me that he could now write his first name in cursive.
Then this past Friday, he told me, "Hey Mrs. S., you remember when you said Practice makes perfect? Remember when we were talking about cursive?" I told him that I sure do remember and he said: "I think my dad feels that way about the lottery, because he does it all the time. He keeps trying to get it right."
I thought that was a hoot!
