Glass-Noodle Salad with Chicken and Shrimp

Anyone tried this recipe from the latest magazine issue? Seems the 1/2 cup of sugar for dressing is a bit much. I am wondering if this is a misprint? Help will be appreciated.

I haven't made this but after looking at the recipe and the amount of lime juice, fish sauce and vinegar it might not be too much sugar. You could always make it with less to start and then add more if needed.
Maybe someone will see this and have a better opinion.

We tried the glass noodle salad last night and it was delicious. Yes, the sugar is the right amount.
