Okay, I'm popping in for a bit today. I've got three major papers to write this week and next and I've put myself on 'puter restriction - RESEARCH only! No fiddling with my BB groups!

I've managed to finish one paper, outline the second, and do the required reading for the third so I'm a happy girl today and am going to take a break.

I've been on Spring break this week but have done nothing but research, volunteer, and cook. The boys had yesterday off so we went bowling. Last weekend we spent the whole weekend skiing and I was hoping to do the same this weekend but we've had nothing but rain since Wednesday - so - no snow. I HOPE that we are not done with winter weather, because I'm certainly not done skiing!

Tonight some friends are coming for dinner and I'm making a venison cassoulet - I hope it turns out well. We belong to the same sportsmans club and take turns making wild game meals. Adventurous, huh??

Other than that, not much going on. I'm going to go shopping (yeah!) later today, tomorrow I might to see a movie. I don't know what's out that is good right now though.

Debie - you first might want to check out the thread about movies you just don't "get" first. If for nothing else, maybe a giggle. :p

It looks like it's going to be a gorgeous day here. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the day, but I'm going to try to maximize it.

Looks like you've got a great head start on your work. Have fun shopping!

*snort* I did. :D That Linda cracks me up.

Just in case you think I'm clothes shopping - nope. Towels and tablecloths. Snore. . . .

Hi Debie and Sandy. :)

Debie - good luck with your papers and enjoy your break today. Like you, I need to put myself on computer restrictions to get this house in shape once and for all! But that has been true for YEARS now. ;)

Sandy - enjoy your gorgeous day. I'm not sure yet what it's going to be like here today. It's foggy right now. Forecase says possibility of rain. It's been nice and warm here, but warmth during these months usually means rain too.

Chuck has his first job offer. The job is something he's very interested in and it's in central PA, which brings us much closer to home (3 hours from most family and friends, 5 hours from my family). The 2 big drawbacks are a lower salary then he previously made and a very rural area. I've complained about this rural area for years and the town we'd be moving to may be even more so. But I'm waiting for SueK to clue me in. :)

I'm trying to remain calm while we make some big decisions. There is a possibility of an offer that might allow us to stay here, but now I'm not sure if that's what I want anymore. We've been gone from our east coast home for 13 years now! We never intended to stay away so long. Moving to central PA would allow us to be closer, without all the expense of living on the east coast. Thing is, it's ultimately Chuck's decision. I'm impatient - I want to know now!

Anyway, since a move is pretty likely, we'll be spending the weekend trying to get our house in shape. Ever since I went back to work fulltime, I've neglected things quite a bit. Even if we don't move, it's all things that need to be done anyway.

Have a great weekend everyone. :)

Debie, good luck getting your papers done. I've got a lot of paperwork to get done today as well.

Alysha, I haven't been in Williamsport in years but they now have a Wegman's so it can't be that bad. Check out their website if your not familiar with that market. It's great. I'll e-mail my aunt (who now lives in Juniata which is pretty rural as well) to find out more about Williamsport.

Sandy, the weather is great here in NC, too. I'm going to try to get my stuff down so I can go out and play. It's definitely spring. I think I'm finally over the "no snow this year" thing. I wouldn't want it now!

Debie,

I am ready for spring over here on this side of the mitten. With the great weather we've had in the past week, we've been able to play outside and go for walks etc. Charles is loving it.

We've got a b-day party for my nieces this afternoon, and that is it.

We will be outside today and tomorrow to take advantange of the nice weather.

That would be great, Beth, thanks. :)

DH already scouted out Wegman's and told me about it. :) I told him I had heard of it before and he said how? CLBB, of course!

I did check out the website and it looks fabulous.

I'm looking at houses now and see one that has a fabulous kitchen. :D Smaller house, but the owners have very similar tastes to my own - I wouldn't change much of what I see in the pictures!

But I'd better not get ahead of myself..... ;)

Alysha - I sent you a little more info about the area. On Monday I'm going to email my friend whose daughter went to Lycoming and I'll get some info from her with more specifics about the town. The main things I know are that they have a Wegmans and a good microbrewery.

OMG. :D Yeah, if only Peggy were just a little smarter, huh. Sheesh.

Alysha, even though you may be in a more rural area maybe the housing prices will be better?

Working today :( . Not much fun. Then catching up on reading (for school) tomorrow. Working on keeping the house clean....had 2 showings last night!

From what I've seen online, the prices look comparable to this area. Hard to tell until we really start looking, though.

Good luck with your showings.
