I'm a newcomer to this show and have only been watching for a few weeks but I really like it. I've worked all my life in hospitals and healthcare so the subject has always been interesting to me.
However I have to say that last night's episode really pushed the envelope of reality. I know "it's just television" but the very idea of a surgeon (Bailey) bringing her newborn to work and carrying it around while unloading patients from ambulances and expecting an intern to babysit while she does surgery and having the chief be OK with it is just over the top.
Did anyone else think that storyline insulted their intelligence? I'm not sure whether that's the right phrase but I never get angered at a silly TV show - not until last night.

I love love love this show! I really enjoyed last nights episode. I have also worked in healthcare since I've been out of college and had the same reaction as you did about Bailey. I kept thinking, no way would a baby be in the hospital and no way would I want my baby around all those germs! It did bother me a bit, but I had to get past it so I could enjoy the show :) The story with Christina and the baby made me laugh out loud many times. I kept thinking "they are not in a hospital, they are not in a hospital", so I could enjoy it more ;)
George always makes me laugh, but this was one of his better shows. I don't really like the girl who is in to him. I don't remember her name on the show, but their is something awkward about her.
There were so many lines on the show that made me laugh. Of course, I forget them now

I, too, thought the baby at work thing was a bit of a stretch. Why would someone have the intern babysit? For woman who's such a control freak, you'd think she'd have had her daycare plans worked out by her 8th week of pregnancy!!
I do like the show alot. We missed the second show of the bomb episodes and watched it right before last nights. I about jumped out of my skin when the bomb went off. Wow.

I keep thinking that when George and the doc who's hot for him finally get together, she's probably going to kill him with physicality. She just looks like a maneater to me. I like the storyline, though.
I hope none of my doctors ever brings their baby to work, sheesh.
It looks like maybe McDreamy is finally ready to actually work on his marriage, or at least that was the message I got from the end of the show.

I also thought it was ridiculous that Bailey was dragging her baby all around the hospital; talk about antibacterial-resistant germs! The hockey kid was pretty over-the-top too.

I just have to say that I work around doctors all day...one just had a baby...and she brings the baby to work. So, it can happen. Although I agree about he whole germ thing!
Anyway...just had to chime in with my weekly...I love George.

I love George too but what did you think about his "Hobbit Hair"? He's gotta get that fixed.

Oh George's hair....I think it was an improvement on the "overgrown" look which was starting to make me want to reach out and push it out of his face! I hope they'll clean it up a bit, but I do like it shorter. Even if they leave his hair as is....I still love George.

I thought it made him look even more adorable. :p
