According to the Cool Whip site: If recipe calls for one cup liquid heavy cream to be whipped (will double in volume), use 2 cups thawed COOL WHIP® Whipped Topping.
If a recipe calls for one cup whipping cream, use one cup thawed COOL WHIP® Whipped Topping. If you do substitute COOL WHIP® Whipped Topping in recipes, we recommend reducing sugar in recipe about 1-1/2 teaspoon for each cup of COOL WHIP® Whipped Topping
substituted for unsweetened whipping cream.
