I am needing to make this salad for a bridal shower on saturday. I had a recipe from the St. Pete Times but I lost it :( I am looking for something that is out of this world tasting and I don't mind if its labor intensive either! So if any of you have a good recipe please post thanks!

This isn't a pasta salad, but Cooking Light has an Italian Antipasto salad you could search for in the Kitchen Assistant. I made it for my supper club this past month and everyone really enjoyed it. It makes for a lovely presentation as well. It's basically an antipasto served atop a bed of mixed greens.

This is my favorite pasta salad. It is always a hit. I made it for a bridal shower last October and several asked for the recipe. I think I tripled the dressing and used 11/2 lb of cockscrew pasta. It served 30. (I like pasta salads heavy on the veges. ) Darla

Pasta Salad with Garlic Basil Dressing
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Salads Vegetables
Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
Dressing:
3 ounces white wine vinegar
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper +
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons sugar
5 ounces light olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
9 medium basil leaves, chopped
For the pasta salad - toss together 1 1/2 lb precooked corkscrew pasta with chopped green and red peppers, thinly sliced red onions, a can of artichokes packed in water, small pieces of broccoli, a can of drained baby corn, olives, fresh cubed mozzarella , Colissimo's sausage stick (or salami) in small pieces , fresh basil and pear tomatoes. I often add freshly grated parmesan cheese too. I like to put together the night before and add the fresh basil, mozzarella, parmesan and tomatoes just before serving. I usually have to add a bit more dressing because some soaks in. (Dressing can be made a few days ahead and add the basil just before serving. )

Have you tried emailing them to ask for the recipe? I've gotten good responses when I've contacted my local food section.
Here's the addy for the food editor of the SP Times: krieta@sptimes.com.

This is going to be a tough one, I really do like most of Michael C's recipes and Darla's looks like its an everything but the kitchen sink salad....hmmm...I might wing it and make my on concoction from some of the recipes you all have listed.
Thanks Canice I'll email them!
