I need your advice? I bought this big container of feta cheese from Costco. After about 10 days, I decided to freeze it. I haven't had any since (I forgot it was there). Anyway, it's been in the freezer about 6 months. Do you think it's still good? I like feta cheese….but only in small quantities, and my family doesn't like it at all. I don't know why I bought such a large container, it was one of my crazy "Costco" moments.

What do think? Is it still good? Should I leave it in the freezer?

Thanks!

I did the exact same thing! I know my feta's been in the freezer for over a year, but I used it recently and it's still fine. It was wrapped well in plastic and I will use the remaining little bit next time I need feta. The experts probably don't recommend freezing it for so long, though

I haven't frozen feta before, but with other cheeses, the difference I have noticed is that the texture seems more crumbly. Since that's what you usually do with feta, I would think it would be fine. I would think it would be good as long as it doesn't get freezer burn or absorb odors.

Thanks for the advice! I plan on using it tomorrow on a Greek Salad. Yumm!
