I screwed up and need some ideas on how to smooth things over. Last week, I called my SIL (who is out of town) to ask if she would have any interest in going in with DH & I on a Mosquito Magnet for FIL for his birthday. She said she would. On Sunday night, I went to buy the Mosquito Magnet - eghads - it was $350!
I meant to call her on Sunday - but the kids were horrible - I was exhausted and wanted to just go to bed. FIL birthday was on Weds. Monday/Tuesday I had a very busy schedule at work and got home late. Ended up stopping at a store on the way to FIL house for dinner to get a present. Totally forgot to call SIL. I kNOW VERY, VERY BAD ME! I totally forgot - my DD's birthday was yesterday, and her party is Saturday, and I just got wrapped up in the family/work. And, I'm not the most organized person in the wolrd (I even forgot to go to DS's class to be mystery reader yesterday) Excuses, excuses.
SIL left a VM message - call me about Dad's present. AAHAHA! I totally forgot to call her, and I am guessing she called her dad, and her dad said - what Mosquito Magnet. I feel just absolutely terrible. Any ideas on how to smooth things over other than fall on my knees and beg forgiveness for being an idiot?!
I have to call her tonight and suck up for being so rude. Any ideas on how to smooth things over.
