I just made a pizza last night using Trader Joe's pizza crust (the dough comes in a ball and you just have to roll it out onto the pan). I will never use a different crust again. This crust was tasty and quick. I have always had trouble with making mine from scratch (don't have the dough gene), but I never cared for Boboli. Plus the Trader Joe's crust is only 79 cents! For those who sometimes use store bought crusts, this is an excellent find!

I always use store bought doughs for pizza - I too was born without the dough gene (or the time to make my own!). Sadly - I don't think we have a Trader Joe's in Atlanta. I'll keep looking though. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Valerie, is this crust in the freezer section or the chiller? I got my mother's darned DNA and her pizza and pie crusts could be used as snow sleds. Looking forward to trying it! http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/biggrin.gif

Yes, please tell us in what state (and what section of the store)you found it, I am in So.Cal.
The dough is in the refrigerated section with the cheeses etc. I agree it is awesome. I will never use anything else.
I've also used it for a sort of foccacia - just roll out and brush with olive oil, add herbs, salt whatever you like and bake on a stone.
And - although I've never tried it myself - a friend told me it freezes well too!

The Washington Post Food Section does a weekly review of a random food (chocolate chips, pickles, etc.) When they did their story on pizza dough, TJ was rated in the highest category.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back, they are actually making me work today!
As mentioned above, the dough is in the refrigerated section next to the cheeses. I live in Northern Virginia, but I assume they are available at all Trader Joe's. Now I'm wondering if it freezes...

I don't think I've seen this at the S. CA stores...am I wrong? I'll ask about it when I go next, but I don't think so. Things definitely are regional at TJ, though it doesn't always make sense. I used to buy polenta in a tube at my TJ in N. VA, but they don't sell it here.
