Just went to the one here in Houston. Their berries look wonderful! If you haven't been in your area, I urge you to check it out. PRices weren't bad either. In our store they had blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and cherries...

Thanks. The only problem is you have to buy sooo much of it. I never know what to do with it all - and I hate freezing fresh fruit - it defeats the purpose of buying it fresh.

well, you could make a shortcake with all the fresh strawberries or a trifle with the other and that would solve your problem - or 3 days worth of smoothies!

Funnybone, do you have a Cosco near you in PA? I live outside of Reading and we don't have any nearby that I know of, but it would be worth the trip if there would be one close enough!

There's one in Lancaster that I go to. It's off Route 30 - not far from the Outlets. It's not that far from Reading.

Since no one asked http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif , it cost me $350 last weekend!

We bought the fresh cherries (4lbs/$8). It did not take the two of us very long to finish them off (yummy!).

We also bought fresh jumbo shrimp (the TJ's ones are already deveined, cheaper and BBQ better) and fresh clams (which we steamed on the BBQ).

I do have to admit though, that $100 went towards printer ink for my DH's business.

Has anyone ever gotten out of Costco for less than $100?

Funnybone It will be one of my field trips this summer! Thanks for the directions, I am sure that I can find it-where there is a will, there is a way...(she says with confidence)- OK famous last words but somehow I do get there, it just takes a little longer http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

Kim: It was under $100, if you can believe that! I am going to go back and get some of that fruit when I find the right dessert to make. I was going to make the one on June's back cover but when i read some threads on it, it scared me - I am not the best baker...

Funny you should ask, as we always refer to it as "The One Hundred Dollar Club". I went this morning and spent $106.60 - lol!

Mine is about 5 blocks away from me.

The one thing I can never pass up is cookbooks! Luckily (I think), this time my DH was with me, and stopped me from buying any. http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/frown.gif

You are welcome. I went there yesterday morning after my first post, as you can tell by my second post - http://www.cookinglight.com/bbs/smile.gif

I believe the exit is "Greenfield" but it is right off of Route 30 - you will see it so you won't miss it.
