I guess I'm just tired -- didn't get any coffee this morning because I used my few minites to not wear sweats to school this morning (helping at the book fair) and to make the boys smoothies for breakfast. I didn't sleep very well last night, and now I know it's caught up with me -- I was trying to delete threads after I ready them like I do most email. :p

It's just a grey rainy day -- kinda fits. Now, the espresso machine is warmed up and I'm going to go make a cup o somethin'.

That's funny. I'm so used to having Tivo that I sometimes go to rewind the radio in the car. And, I haven't driven a stick shift car in a long time but, sometimes I go to push in the clutch of the car I do drive when I turn the car on. :p :D

I guess we all have those days sometimes. I hope you enjoy your cup-o-something.

Beth - I think we are having the same day. The alarm woke me up out of a deep sleep almost 3 hours ago and I still haven't woken up. Lots of crazy dreams last night and I feel exhausted. I made my DD breakfast, carried it up to her room (she eats while she is getting ready), said a few words to her and walked downstairs still carrying her breakfast. She got a good laugh out of it but I sure felt stupid. :o I'm on Diet-Coke number two hoping that the bubbles and caffeine will kick in soon.

Peggy

P.S. It is grey and rainy here too.

I'm now sipping a tall cap and wondering what I am going to make for tomight's bake sale at the book fair. I was thinking about making kettle corn because I got this blue raspberry flavored sugar (very bright blue too) and the boys think it is too weird, but I bet other kids would like it. Simple, quick and different. But I'm afraid it might not do well with the rain. Looks like I'll have to bake after all. Cookies? Cupcakes? Only 50 cent items, so it's little things.

The kettle corn sounds interesting. I'd probably make some decadent brownies. :)

Must be something in the air. My DD is getting over a virus and I'm still refusing to get sick......ahem!! Although I'm starting to have signs and symptoms. I'm hoping to ignore them and they'll just go away!!!
It's a rainy day and I have a bad case of the lazies. Could be from sleep deprivation or my attempts at cutting out diet drinks. Anyway, glad to know I'm not the only one today!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm right there, only its my cousin/roommate that sick. I've survived all winter without getting anything, I don't want to start now. I took her to urgent care on Sunday with a 102 fever, yikes, I really don't want that! Guess its time for another does of Airborne.....

HA!!! You and I must be separated at birth or something! I try rewinding the radio all the time! :o

And just the other day, I was driving DH's automatic (my car IS a stick). He reminded me at the last minute at a corner that I needed to turn left (my mind was in la-la-land or something) and I was in the right lane. I quick checked my mirror and saw no one was there, but I had to slow down really fast to get over to the left turn lane (and there was a line of cars I had to get in behind in a very short span). Of course I JAMMED the brake with my left foot (thinking it was my clutch!) and shifted the automatic shifter into neutral! After DH recovered from nearly being flung through the windshield, he looked at me as if I'd gone completely nuts! I'd never done that before and I was all flustered for a minute. Must be getting old or something....... :p

And poor Peggy! Too funny! Well you ladies have all made me feel much better! Thanks.

Robyn, I'm with you on the Airborne. All the guys have had something, even though it was the rash and allergic reaction to the medicine for one. I am not liking the stuff, but if it works .... I still won't like it! :D Hope your cousin is feeling better and you dodge the bullet.

Well, I'm still in a sick house, cousin is still camped on the sofa and I sat with her for a bit but I'm upstairs again and plan to get lots of sleep tonight. Melodyam, good vibes coming right back at you.....
Beth, try the lemon-lime version, I like its flavor better.

Beth I hope your day got better...I love all the stories...that's enough to cheer ya up!

I did this just today...when I am looking something up in a book or magazine or I am reading an article and looking for a particular part of the article I am always looking for the CTRL+F keys to scroll down to what I am looking for!!

(and I had coffee and was not tired...I'm just a computer geek I guess...lol!)

Monday was a tough one for me. Watched "The Sopranos" Sunday night, then went right to sleep. Those knuckle heads were infiltrating my dreams ALL NIGHT! I'd wake up, try to think about something else, go back to sleep, and BATTA BING, they'd be back! Can you imagine a night of dreaming about Vito, Silvio and Paulie Walnuts???

Got one -- and I forgot to drink one before we went to a meeting so I also picked up some of the gummis for on the go. Do not for one minute think they will be anything like a decent gummi bear. They taste like herby vitamins chews and a a bit hard, but not as salty as the drink. Still beats getting the crud DH had for 3 weeks.

Beth, I'm not a big fan of gummy stuff anyhow so those just sound miserable! Thanks for reminding me though I'm going to take some now. Cousin is still sleeping on the sofa when I left this morning. I agree though, the taste of any of this is better than the fever/sore throat yuckiness she is going through.

Not only that, but I haven't slept well while DH has been congested and making all kinds of noises all night long. I don't want to be the one flipping and flopping, coughing and snorting all night long! :D

Peaceful sleep is a much better thought.

Thanks! This made me LOL! I've done that, too, but my DH was a little louder about it than yours evidently was ;) Now, I drive an automatic...
